Charles R. Waud, 74, of Pleasant City, died Friday (May 19, 2017) at his home. He was born March 17, 1943 in Cleveland, son of the late Earl Newcomb Waud and Helen Patricia (Kamban) Waud. Mr. Waud was a retired police officer of Eastlake OH. He was a graduate of Akron University and a member of the Buffalo VFW. Mr. Waud was a US Army veteran, having served as an MP during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Pownall of Agawan MA; a stepson, Brian Hawley of Willoughby; a stepdaughter, Patty Strough of Conneaut; a brother, Earl (& Patricia) Waud of Chula Vista CA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services and burial will be held Monday (June 5, 2017) at 1:00 p.m. at Buffalo Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
