Charles A. Wolfe

March 20, 1929 — July 16, 2012

Charles A. Wolfe, 83, of Cambridge, died Monday (July 16, 2012) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1929 in Cambridge, son of the late John William Wolfe and Edna (Hill) Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe retired from Milfair Carpet, where he had worked as an installer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cambridge. Mr. Wolfe was a US Army/National Guard member, having served during the Korean War. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie L. (Rossiter) Wolfe, whom he married February 17, 1951; a son, Bruce Wayne Wolfe; a granddaughter, Amanda Rohl; a brother, Harold Wolfe; and three sisters, Dorothy, Edna, and Helen. He is survived by two sons, Charles Nathan (& Lori) Wolfe of Senecaville and Timothy Harold (& Lori) Wolfe of Cambridge; three daughters, Deborah K. Rohl of Bridgeport, Cynthia M. (& William) Goodman of Cambridge, and Christine L. Wolfe of Wintersville; three brothers, John William Wolfe II of Cambridge, Roy Dale Wolfe of Byesville, and Russell Bert Wolfe of Cambridge; four sisters, Wilma Ross, Thelma Wynn, Violet Gatchell, and Gladis Harper all of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, Hope Bradshaw, Shawn McElroy, Nate Goodman, Kate Graves, Adam Rohl, Zandrea Wolfe, and Matthew Wolfe; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Family and friends may call on Thursday (July 19, 2012) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Milburn officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
