Chester L. Martin, 68, of Cambridge, passed away Friday (January 4, 2008) at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. He was born on March 2, 1939 in Lakewood, son of Chester W. Martin and the late Betty (Neff) Martin. Mr. Martin retired from Quality Castings, where he had been a toolmaker. He was a Protestant by faith. He was a member of the Guernsey County Senior Citizens. Mr. Martin was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Jerome and Betty Dollison. He leaves his wife, Pat (Dollison) Martin of the home, whom he married on September 25, 1965; his father, Chester W. Martin of Orrville; a son, Kenny Martin of Orrville; two brothers, David (Sharon) Neff of Mayfield and Bill Martin of Orrville; two sisters, Charlotte Rogers of Painesville and Sandy (Lynn) Steiner of Orrville; and three sisters-in-law, Martha Ricks of Florida, Mary E. Trescott of Byesville and Linda (Carl) Cornett of Zanesville. Family and friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Tuesday (January 8, 2008) at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donald Glass officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
