Clayton Leroy Conner, 49, of Cambridge went to be with the Lord Wednesday (May 8, 2013) at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 26, 1963 in Wilmington and was the son of Clyde (Vicki) Conner of Niles and the late Connie (Hamilton) Conner. Mr. Conner loved working at Grace Pantry with his best friend Victor Lagneaux. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, loved fishing with his friends, cook outs, campfires and family time. He knew how to put a smile on everyone he met. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son Christopher Jackson; his grandparents, Clyde Conner, Martha Wells, William and Deloris Hamilton. In addition to his father he is survived by two daughters, Consuela (Lois) Conner and Isabella Conner both of Cambridge; two sons, Cory Jackson and Gavin Goffner both of Cambridge and Gavin's mother Cassie Hazelton; two brothers, Raymond and Paul Conner both of Cambridge; two sisters, Nancy (Andy) Trump of Lynburg and Cindy (Dave) Mills of Washington Courthouse; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; the love of his life and mother of his daughters, Patricia Jackson; special friends, Carol Goff, Sandra Miracle and Helen Coats both of Cambridge; Calling hours will be Tuesday May 14th from 11-1 at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randolph White officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville at a later date.
