Clifford E. Ross, 89, of Cambridge, died Thursday (March 11, 2010) at his home. He was born April 6, 1920 in Cambridge, son of the late Everett Ross and Bernice (Yandt) Ross. Mr. Ross retired after twenty-six years with the Cambridge City Water Department. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Cambridge. Mr. Ross was a US Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a life member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris E. (Cutshall) Ross; and three brothers, Chester, Francis and James R. Ross. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie (Fulton) Ross of the home; three step-sons, Carl E. (& Grace) Turner of Utica, Jeff (& Martha) Conrad of DeSoto TX and Greg Conrad of Cambridge; two step-daughters, Gina (& Danny) Lachendro of Lodi and Lisa Berry of Centerville; fourteen step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Saturday (March 13, 2010) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Steve Leathley officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
