Coila Marie Newland

A precious and caring woman, Coila Marie (Lantz) Newland passed away on May 4, 2010 at 7:20 a.m. at Westview Manor Nursing Home in Wooster, Ohio. Coila was born at Bradford, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1930 to parents Hazel and Earl Lantz. In June of 1948 she married her perfect love William Burnett Newland who preceded her in death April, 2009. As a wonderful mother of four girls and a hard working Registered Nurse Coila dedicated her life to family and patients. She was a very dynamic and talented nurse whose career span encompassed a variety of positions from emergency and surgical room nursing to a hospital administrator position in Brownsville Texas. She enjoyed handicrafts such as knitting, tatting, sewing, and was a gifted quilter. Coila believed in the Lord and all that was good about life and nature. Her sweet smile and tender soul will be sadly missed by her surviving daughters; (Jim) and Linda Kitzmiller of Lexington, Carol Costlow of Pataskala, (Rick) and Nancy Goodright of Wooster, and (Mark) and Barbara Donohue of Mt. Vernon, as well as her surviving siblings, (Dick) and Betty Johnson of Pennsylvania, Joann Young of Nevada, Chuck and (Mary) Lantz of Nevada, and Ed Lantz; numerous cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. No services will be held.
