Constance R. "Connie" Carpenter, 70, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (December 31, 2019) at The Morrison House, Zanesville.
She was born March 7, 1949 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Everett Winland and Roberta (Blake) Winland.
A 1966 graduate of John Glenn High School, Mrs. Carpenter was a factory worker for March Electric for many years and she later worked at both K-Mart and Wal-Mart.
She was Christian by faith.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Misty Rae Carpenter and Shelley D. Hammonds; and a brother, Mickey Winland.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Carpenter, whom she married in 1966; a brother-in-law, Ronald Carpenter of Quaker City; two sisters-in-law, Nancy (& Bill) Perkins of Navarre and Myrle Carpenter of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Kyle (& Amber) Hammonds of Cambridge and Jessey Hammonds of Zanesville; three great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Jackson, and Jameson; and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday (January 3, 2020) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with her nephew, Pastor Gary David Carpenter, officiating.
Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
