The children of Cora-Sue Jackson would like to disclose the passing of their mother, Monday, February 15 at Cambridge Health & Rehab, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Ms. Jackson was born December 28, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James Robert Jackson and Mildred Marie (Adams) Jackson. Ms. Jackson was a 1962 graduate of Cambridge High School. She worked many years as a loving aide at Guernsey Memorial Hospital, as well as many years as a telemarketer before retiring. Ms. Jackson enjoyed reading, crocheting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, crafts, talking on the phone with her friends. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles (Chuck) Jackson. She is survived by her loving companion of 35 years, Robert Casey, children, David (Saundra) Ferguson of Hagerstown, Maryland, Christina (Charles) Itanyi of Reynoldsburg, Melonie (Larry) Neff, Steven (Tracy) Mourer and Michael Jackson, all of Cambridge; a sister, Debra (James) DeVore of Cambridge, an aunt, Mary (Jackson) Herman, and a sister-in-law, Mary (Charles) Jackson, of Byesville; grandchildren Jordan Ferguson, Bethany Ferguson, Jenielle Redman, Uchenna Itanyi, Ndidi Itanyi, Kene Itanyi, Tyler Jackson, Kyle (Jessica) Neff, Terry Neff, Mikayla Mourer, Amiya Mourer, Lexus Jackson, Lashae Jackson, and Tyson Jackson; a great-grandson, Bentley Neff, nephews Scott Jackson and Shawn DeVore, 4 great-nephews, a great-niece, seven great-great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday (February 19, 2016) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Home.
