Cora Bell Sunnafrank (Hennen) Mitchell

Cora Bell (Hennen) Sunnafrank Mitchell, 92, of Cambridge, died Sunday (July 12, 2009) at her home. She was born May 26, 1917 in Cambridge, daughter of the late George Washington Hennen and Ida May (McNerland) Hennen. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker. She also had worked at Sunnafrank Sanitary Disposal for many years. She was a member of the Stop 9 Church of Christ. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed playing cards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard A. Sunnafrank, who died in 1982; her second husband, Wilmer P. Mitchell; two daughters, Peggy Karr and Patricia Leasure; three sons-in-law, Cleon Leasure, Bob Kenney and Paul Karr; a sister, Lula Hillier; and three brothers, Tommy, Wilbur and Charles Hennen. She is survived by a son, Wade (& Tina) Sunnafrank of Cambridge; a daughter, Greta (& Joe Perry) Kenney of Barberton; three step-sons, Ken (& Joan Sunnafrank) Mitchell of Cambridge, Don (& Nancy) Mitchell of Cambridge and Dale (& Annie Fields) Mitchell of Newark; two step-daughters, Karen (& Charley) McQuain of Bloomfield and Kay (& Jeff) Fogle of Cambridge; her neighbor, good friend and caregiver, Jenny Slosky of Cambridge; ten grandchildren, Linda, Tony, Rex, Jolene, Lisa, Charlene, Bill, Melissa, Rusty and Wade Jr.; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday (July 15, 2009) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Slay officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
