Craig Michael Daniels, 47, of Cambridge, passed away suddenly at his home Thursday (May 22, 2014) after surgery. He was born Nov. 29, 1966, in Bellaire, son of Julie Anne (Shultz) Daniels of Powhattan Point and the late Charles E. Daniels. Craig was a 1985 graduate of Beallsville High School and later earned his bachelor's degree from Muskingum University, with a major in sociology and minor in religion. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and was in the Navy reserves from 1985-1992. Craig was a guitar instructor at Pavlov's Music Center and also the sound technician for St. Benedict's Christmas show for several years; this he enjoyed greatly. He loved to play rock and classical music, and also had a great passion for cooking ... and he did it well. He also enjoyed hunting. Craig loved his boys dearly and would have done anything for them. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Vicky (Costanzo) Daniels of Cambridge, whom he married June 10, 1995; his three sons, Stephen, Matthew and Ethan Daniels of the home; a sister, Crystal (Dave) Sadlowski, of Shadyside; a brother, Charles J. Daniels (Kelly Riehle) of St. Clairsville; nephews, Nick (Jessica) Daniels, Derrick and Dustin Sadlowski and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, with Fr. Robert Borer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cambridge with military rites conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Thorn-Black Funeral Home, 139 S. Ninth St. Cambridge, OH 43725.
