Cynthia Kae Fedorke

August 11, 1963 — July 16, 2010

Cynthia Kae "Cindy" (Goodright) Fedorke, 46, of Cambridge, died Friday (July 16, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, after a valiant and courageous 3½ year battle against cancer. She was born August 11, 1963 in Cambridge, daughter of Gene Goodright and Rilla (Palmer) Goodright. Cindy was a 1981 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and attended Guernsey-Noble Vocational School, Buffalo Campus, for cosmetology. She was a 1999 graduate, with high honors, from Muskingum Area Technical College, earning an Associate's Degree and becoming a licensed social worker. She worked for Guernsey County Department of Job & Family Services for five years and later Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell for three years. She was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Lore City. Cindy had a great love for her children. She was devoted to the care of the elderly and also expressed great compassion for animals. She participated in the local Relay for Life and Zanesville's Light the Night Walk. Cindy was diagnosed in February of 2007 with the same Myeloma/Lymphoma as the late Stefanie Spielman, and as with other fighters of this disease, Cindy's battle cry was "relentless". She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Fedorke of the home, whom she married September 30, 1989; her parents, Gene Goodright of Byesville and Rilla (Palmer) Goodright of Cambridge; three sons, Monte, Michael and Matthew all of the home; a daughter, Meghan of the home; a sister, Melissa Goodright of Cambridge; a brother, Kyle (& Heather) Goodright of Byesville; three sisters-in-law, Tracie (& Joe) Herman of Norwich, Kathie (& Mark) Aleshire of Cambridge and Lori (& Craig) Brenneman of West Jefferson; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bob and Helen Fedorke of Nashport; eight nieces and nephews, Zach Stillion, Martina Goodright, Marisa Goodright, Kallie Aleshire, Kristin Aleshire, Conner Aleshire, Hannah Brenneman and Ross Brenneman; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday (July 19, 2010) at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Lore City, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, at a later date.
