Cynthia R. Urick, 55, of Quaker City, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday (April 17, 2013) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. She was born August 21, 1957 in Steubenville, daughter of the late George and Sharon (Hilliard) Atkinson. Mrs. Urick retired from the Prince William County Virginia Police Department, where she worked as a police dispatcher. She graduated with a degree in accounting from the Jefferson Community College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Urick, whom she married July 11, 1981; a brother, Jerry (Stephanie) Atkinson of Hilliard; three sisters, Linda (Bill) Arnold of Alexandria VA, Carol (Dave) Hunt of Alexandria VA, and Georganna (Doug) Hull of Salesville; five nieces; eleven nephews; two great-nieces; and her step-mother, Betty Atkinson. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held Saturday (April 20, 2013) at the Findley United Methodist Church (958 Lincoln Ave, Steubenville) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Delbert Lash officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org/donate
