Dale Kidder, 83, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (April 5, 2011) at his home. He was born December 5, 1927 in Fairview, son of the late Leslie Kidder and Blanche (Yost) Kidder. Mr. Kidder was a truck driver for Roadway Express for many years. He was a life member of the VFW Post 2901 and a member of the Eagles Aerie of Beverly. Mr. Kidder was a US Navy veteran, having served during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jean (Hill) Kidder, whom he married August 10, 1947; two sons, Keith (& Dawn Rae) Kidder of Georgia and Brent (& Jackie) Kidder of Bellaire; a daughter, Linda (& Jack) Emde of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Craig (& Becky) Kidder, Melanie Kidder and her fiancé, Jesse Padgett, to be married next month, and April (& Matt) Richardson; a step-granddaughter, Kayla (& Jerry) Wheeler; a great-grandson, Kolt Richardson; and special friends, Everett and Matilda Thompson of Byesville. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held Monday (April 11, 2011) at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville. Military graveside will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
