Daniel F. Marlatt Sr., 43, of Salesville, passed away Friday (October 17, 2008) at his home. He was born on September 28, 1965 in Cambridge, son of John Wesley Marlatt and Lenora Fern (Ball) Marlatt of Cambridge. Mr. Marlatt was a member of the Moose Lodge of Cambridge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He cherished spending time with his children & grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, David W. Marlatt Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Harold and Marian Marlatt; and his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Mary Elizabeth Ball. In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife, Wendy (McFadyen) Marlatt of the home, whom he married on May 7, 1992; a son, Daniel F. Marlatt Jr. of the home; four daughters, Sara Fern Marlatt of the home, Danyell (& Kyle) Baker of Byesville, Hollie A. Marlatt of Byesville and Cami E. Marlatt of Byesville; two brothers, John Wesley Marlatt Jr. and Bruce Marlatt both of Cambridge; two sisters, Marian Burt and Debbie Marlatt both of Cambridge; a grandson, Brayden M. L. Jeffers of Byesville; his mother-in-law, Betty J. Rogers of Cambridge; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including Thomas McFadyen Sr.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, including a special nephew, John John Marlatt III. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (October 22, 2008) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Marlatt family, in care of Thorn-Black Funeral Home, 139 S 9th St, Cambridge OH 43725.
