Daniel Wayne Parks

Daniel Wayne Parks, 20, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Cambridge.

Daniel was born on April 21, 2003, in Salisbury, NC, a son to Joshua Parks and Sara Rachel Roe.

Daniel had many hobbies and interests. He loved playing guitar, wrestling, fishing, and being outdoors. Many knew him as being a very hard worker. Daniel was deeply loved by his friends and family. He was kind, loving, and never knew a stranger.

He was a 2022 graduate of John Marshall High School in Moundsville, WV, was a former employee of Cracker Barrel in Cambridge, then worked as a Well Tender for Select Energy.

Daniel is preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Earnest "Pap" Roe.

Daniel is survived by his mother,  Sara (Paul) Roe of Cambridge, his father, Joshua Parks of Salisbury, NC, his half-sister, Paytan Karcher, his step-brother, Perry Roe, his maternal grandparents, Steve (Joyce) Harward of Salisbury, NC, his paternal grandmother, Penny (David) Key of China Grove, NC, his paternal grandfather, Charles Wayne Parks of Lenior, NC, and his step-grandmother, Shirley Roe of Lore City. Also left to cherish his memory are his uncle, Ashley (Melissa) Lenarz of Old Washington, his nephew, Eric Hill, his niece, Hannah Hill, his former stepfather, Ron Karcher, and former step-grandparents, Ron (Fay) Shaw, and many step-aunts and uncles, cousins, and good friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 11AM-1PM, with the service to immediately follow at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City, with Pastor Bruce Colvin officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Quaker City.
