Darlene Elizabeth Johnson Horstman

Darlene Elizabeth (Durben) Johnson Horstman, 64, of Hopedale, died Wednesday (August 19, 2015) at Valley Hospice - Trinity East Hospital, Steubenville. She was born June 9, 1951 in Cambridge, daughter of Veronica (Beckley) Miller and the late Harry Clifford Durben. Mrs. Horstman was a member of the House of the Shepherd, New Athens. She was a master gardener and enjoyed spending her time gardening. She cherished spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Johnson, whom she married June 7, 1969 and who died February 15, 1988; a son-in-law, Tim Wheeler; and her parents-in-law, Leonard & Gerry Johnson and Dave Horstman. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Horstman, whom she married August 20, 2011; her mother and step-father, Veronica & Robert Miller; her children, Krystal Wheeler, Joey (& Julie) Johnson, Mary Jo (& Jeff) Korp, Marie Horstman, Jerry Allen (& Tanya) Horstman, Becky (& Sean) Tuttle, Peggy Sue Horstman, and Daniel Horstman; her siblings, Sandy (& Fritz) Henry, Milton (& Judy) Durben, Jane Guin, Sherry Blankenship, and Jimmy (& Lisa) Durben; her grandchildren, Aryka Wheeler, Chance Wheeler, Hunter Wheeler, Ciara Wheeler, Colt Wheeler, Tyler Dowling, Larry Joe Johnson, Eric Johnson, Laura Johnson, Ivy Johnson, Jayce Tuttle, Shya Tuttle, Emma Tuttle, David Phillips, Alex Horstman, Kassie Horstman, MacKenzie Horstman, Harmony Horstman, Jayden Blake, Lane Blake, Cody Laird, Ashley Laird, Brandon Horstman, and Rachel Korp; her mother-in-law, Gloria Horstman; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday (August 23, 2015) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 6 p.m.
