David Marion Halsey

David Marion Halsey, 73, of Kimbolton, died Wednesday (October 2, 2013) at his home. He was born July 7, 1940 in Akron, son of the late Conley Halsey and Margaret (Lucas) Halsey. Mr. Halsey had worked as a brick layer in Akron for Ruhlin Construction and also as a dairy farmer. He also worked locally at Salt Fork Resorts. He was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. Mr. Halsey was a US Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Moeller) Halsey of the home; seven sons, David A. Halsey of Kimbolton, Joseph D. Halsey of Kimbolton, Donald E. Halsey of Hawaii, Peter J. (& Heidi) Halsey of Gnadenhutten, Matthew B. (& Erica) Halsey of New Concord, Luke S. Halsey (& Amberly Howell) of California, and Andrew E. Halsey (& Elaine Spencer) of Kimbolton; six daughters, Cecelia M. (& Bill) Ogden of Antrim, Rosemary J. (& David) Tidrick of Freeport, Rita M. (& Dwayne) Sayre of Senecaville, Sarah J. Halsey of Kimbolton, Ruth L. (& Marcus) Loewen of California, and Teresia S. Halsey of Kimbolton; twenty-seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Halsey of Arizona, Gilbert Halsey of Oregon, and Conrad Halsey of Akron; and his mother-in-law, Rita C. Moeller of Brimfield. Family and friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (October 7, 2013) at 1 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Clearfork Cemetery.
