David D. Lewis

David "Dave" Douglas Lewis, age 53, longtime Cambridge, OH resident, passed away on August 24, 2021, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.

Dave was born October 14, 1967, in Cambridge, OH to Douglas Orville Lewis and Nancy Louise (Davis) Lewis. He was a 1986 graduate of Cambridge High School and attended The Ohio State University.

Dave was a kind soul who did not know a single stranger. He loved gatherings with friends and family – and if you were a friend, you were family. He was an avid reader of Grisham, Clancy, and Cussler. He was a history buff and had all the "useless" trivia knowledge a person could have. He was one-of-a-kind and will be missed by so many.

He is survived by his parents, Doug and Nancy Lewis of Ormond Beach, FL; his wife, Shannon Wilkes of Cambridge, OH; his beloved children, Katy and Mat Stocking of New Concord, OH, Erica and Nathan Abel of St. Augustine, FL, Zach and Taylor Lewis of Charleston, SC, and Josh Lewis of Columbus, OH; his two brothers, Eric Lewis of Cambridge, OH and Todd and Sonya Lewis of Cambridge, OH; his granddaughter, Paisley Lewis and soon to be granddaughter, Ripley Stocking; Julia Hill, the mother of his children; as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Private viewing and funeral services for family will take place at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge.
