David Edward Mayberry

David Edward Mayberry, 79, of Salesville, died Tuesday (April 23, 2013) at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation, Barnesville. He was born May 17, 1933 in Cambridge, son of the late Lewis Edward Mayberry and Ava Irene (Todd) Mayberry. Mr. Mayberry retired after twenty-four years of service with Columbia Gas, where he had worked as a well tender. He was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie and Sarah both of California; two sisters, Karen Lenhart and Bonnie Burris both of Cambridge; two grandsons; four step-children; several step-grandchildren; and his former wife, Charlotte. Family and friends may call on Thursday (April 25, 2013) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military graveside honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
