David R. Seevers, 67, of Jacobsburg, died Monday (July 22, 2019) at Altercare of Cambridge.
He was born March 1, 1952 in Newport, son of the late Thomas R. Seevers and Vera (Farnsworth) Seevers.
Mr. Seevers was a retired truck driver for the oil & gas industry. He had attended Frontier High School.
He was a farmer and raised horses. He went to many horse pulls and pony pulls.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Seevers and Larry Seevers.
He is survived by three daughters, Stacy (& Terry) Clagett of New Concord, Nora Cain of Jacobsburg, and Halee Brown of Jacobsburg; five brothers, Terry (& Chris) Seevers of Amesville, Roger (& Vicki) Seevers of Newport, Gary (& Debbie) Seevers of Newport, Rodney Seevers of Newport, and Gale Seevers of West Virginia; three sisters, Linda "Kay" Reynolds of Newport, Vicki Southwick of Bartlett, and Karen (& Steve) Zoller of Reno; two grandchildren, Johnna (& Matthew) Drotovick and Jacob Clagett; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Drotovick and Weston Drotovick; and his companion and life-long friend, Alice Brown.
Visitation will be held Thursday (July 25, 2019) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Friday (July 26, 2019) at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mark Stinson officiating.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
