David Allen Shuman

David Allen Shuman, 48, of Quaker City, passed away Monday (October 9, 2006) at his home. He was born October 8, 1958 in Noble County, son of the late Wilford Shuman and Lucille (Groves) Shuman. Mr. Shuman was the owner and operator of Shuman Auto Service. He was a member of the Quaker City Village Council. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son. He leaves his wife, Rita (Christman) Shuman of the home; three sons, Brian Shuman of Quaker City, Corporal Randy (& Sarah) Shuman currently serving a Tour of Duty in Iraq, and Blake Shuman of Columbus; two step-sons, Mitchel (& Andrea) Shaffer of Byesville and Aaron (& Mandy) Shaffer of Cambridge; a brother, Roger Shuman of Batesville; two sisters, Janet Foster of Westerville and Judy Kirkbride of Columbus; and four step-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where services will be held on Thursday (October 12, 2006) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carol Touvell officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
