Dennis W. Callahan, 79, of Lore City, passed away Sunday (February 14, 2016) at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born September 23, 1936 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Cecil W. and Beatrice (Hose) Callahan. Mr. Callahan was owner of Callahan's Refrigeration for 40 years, and was a Union Millwright. He was a member of Cambridge Masonic Lodge #66 and an Air Force veteran having served from 1955-1959. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson Dennis Callahan III. He is survived by three sons, Dennis W. Callahan of Minnesota, Jason Callahan and Abbey Stoner of Belpre, William "Will" Callahan and Morgan Jenkins of Zanesville; two daughters, Pam (John) Monis of Las Vegas and Stephanie (Chris) Fahner of Cambridge; one half brother Alan Callahan, five sisters, Joy Edwards, Mona Keylor, Sonja Zimmerman, Zerita Maynard and Shelba Watson; six grandchildren, Andrew, Heather, Austen, Dakota, Logan and Dilan Callahan; one great granddaughter Aurora Stanley; former wife Darlene Anne (Watson) Callahan of Newark. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Military services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers family requests that memorial donations be made to the Morrison House, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
