Dennis L. "Doc" Eddy, 69, passed away Saturday (October 10, 2020) in Baltic OH. He was born November 10, 1950 in Barnesville to the late Willard and Martha Stephen Eddy. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Paul and Loretta Betts.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak and the lack of people wearing masks, Doc has spent the last eight months alone being cared for by strangers.
Doc was a longtime employee of R & F Coal and most recently Eddy Trucking.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Shelley (Betts) Eddy; a daughter, Heather (Lorne) Roe; two sons, Ryon (Amanda) Eddy and Brandon (Becky) Eddy; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Dirk) McElroy, Kiley (Trevor) Carpenter, Lauren Roe, Connor, Logan, Garrett, Bryson, Cole, and Gracie Eddy; his great-grandchildren, Blaine, Trace, Kennedy, Myers, and Jett; a brother, Paul (Karen) Eddy; and his in-laws, Paula (J.D.) Winland.
A short graveside service will be held at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, on Wednesday (October 14, 2020) at 11 a.m. Please observe our Governor's current COVID-19 guidelines concerning social distancing as well as the wearing of a face covering. Thank you.
