Dennis E. Warner, 72, of Kimbolton, died Tuesday (November 23, 2021) at his home.
He was born October 12, 1949 in Cambridge, son of the late William E. Warner and Thelma (Angle) Warner.
A 1967 graduate of Cambridge High School, Mr. Warner had worked for the United States Post Office as a letter carrier for the Cambridge branch for thirty-nine years.
He was a lifetime member of NALC and also the NRA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed running rabbit dogs.
Mr. Warner was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War as a dog scout handler. He was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901.
He is survived by his wife, Karen S. (Miller) Warner, whom he married March 19, 1976; two sons, Justin (Amy) Warner of Delaware and Kyle Warner of Columbus; two brothers, Donald (Patricia) Warner of Cambridge and Thomas (Eva) Warner of Middlebourne; and two granddaughters, Alice and Vera.
Funeral services will be held Saturday (November 27, 2021) at 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Pastor Mark Slay officiating. Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jefferson Township, with military graveside honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
