Deza Williams, 96, of Quaker City, passed away Friday (May 23, 2008) at Southeastern Med. She was born June 13, 1911 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Clark Potts and Anna (Hackney) Potts. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of Concord Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard "Dick" Williams in 1996. They were married Nov. 19, 1929. Also deceased area daughter, Janet Archer; five sisters, Mary Lashley, Martha Ruby, Esther Smallwood, Hazel Hill and one infant; and two brothers, Uriah Potts and an infant. She leaves a son, Kenneth (Lena) Williams of Senecaville; four grandchildren, Joe (Connie) Williams, Dwain (Dawn) Williams, Michelle (Curtis) Larrick and Rick (Shari) Archer; seven great grandchildren, Crystal, Joseph, Melissa, Dillon, Ethan, Katrina and Heather; a step great grandson, Tom; and a great great grandson, Joey. No calling hours will be observed. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, with Pastor Roger Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
