Diana Marlene Hazinakis, 70, of Cambridge, died Friday (June 10, 2016) at her home. She was born July 18, 1945 in Glen Dale WV, daughter of the late David R. Funk and Elizabeth A. (Simmons) Funk. Mrs. Hazinakis worked at Interim Health Care for several years. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, and especially loved her dog, Cash. She enjoyed the outdoors and playing bingo. Mrs. Hazinakis was a graduate of Byesville High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. "Pete" Hazinakis, who died September 10, 2008. They were married July 10, 1963. Also deceased are two sons, Micheal and Steve Hazinakis; a daughter, Holly; a grandson, Stephen Ford III; a great-granddaughter, Malaia Francis; three brothers, John, Harold, and Richard Funk; and a sister, Marylou Pontius. She is survived by three sons, John (& Trisha) Hazinakis, Brian Hazinakis, and Randy Dale Cutright all of Cambridge; two daughters, Kiria (& Robert) Griffith of Martins Ferry and Tina Ford of Byesville; two brothers, Russell "Bud" Funk and Bruce (& Dee) Funk both of Cambridge; a sister, Connie (& Bill) Emmick of Florida; ten grandchildren, Dustin Fannin, Chelsea Griffith, Ashley Griffith, Tyler Ford, Nick Ford, Amber Hazinakis, Heather Hazinakis, Brittany Hazinakis, Chassalli John, and Stephen Hazinakis; six great-grandchildren, Jace, Hayden, Lawsyn, Rhett, Nevaeh, and Zayla; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Gus (& Connie) Hazinakis; and four sisters-in-law, Sue Eidens, Jackie Funk, Kathy Funk, and Carol Funk. Memorial visitation hours will be held Monday (June 20, 2016) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, at a later date.
