Diane Marie Barnes

Diane Marie Barnes, 70, of Old Washington, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born January 8, 1954, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Aubrey Hinson and Betty (Wayt) Hinson.

She was the owner of Barnes Consulting.

Mrs. Barnes was a former member of the Center United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Senior Center board and the Cambridge VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary. Diane was also the past Mayor of the Village of Old Washington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Hinson, and Dennis Hinson.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Barnes, whom she married May 10, 1980; one brother, David Hinson of Cambridge; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hinson; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Cheryl Todd; and several nieces & nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. The service will immediately follow.

Burial will be at Center Cemetery, Cambridge.
