Rev. Donald L. Glass

November 9, 1932 — September 19, 2015

As the leaves were falling on Saturday (September 19, 2015), Jesus called home his servant, our loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa, for his ultimate healing from mesothelioma. Rev. Donald Lyman Glass, born November 9, 1932 goes to Heaven ahead of wife, Patricia (Musick); a son, David (& Paula) Glass; three daughters, Cathy (& Randy) Teter, Donna (& Don) Polascak, and Sherry (& Ted) Shannon; along with grandchildren, LaDawn (& Dan), Davey (& Laura), Jennifer (& Mike), Jonathan (& Ruth), Dustin (& JoAnn), Aubrey (& Daniel), Jason (& Juanita), Alyssa (& Justin), and Nathan; step-grandchildren, Jason (& Shawnie), Caleb, Dorissa, Abriella, and Riley; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Caleb, Alayna, Carson, Alyvia, Sydney, Joshua, Paige, Ian, Jefferson, Bella, Cameron, Grace, Vivian, Raelynn, and Edith; and step-great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Bella. Going ahead before him are his parents, Lyman and Lola (Butts) Glass; his siblings, Francis, Irene, and JoAnne; a niece, Marsha; and a great-grandson, Kevin. Following behind is a brother, Rodney (& Joan) Glass; a close brother-in-law, Arthur (& Clarann) Musick; a sister-in-law, Jeanie Musick; and many nieces and nephews. Donald spent his earlier years in Oakfield, working various jobs. He was a licensed insurance agent, achieving many awards for sales and was a chosen speaker at the Insurance Leadership Convention in Montreal, Canada. He left insurance sales when God placed a full-time call on his life to the ministry. After moving to Cambridge in 1973, he was the founder and administrator of Cambridge Christian Academy in 1974. He was ordained in the Free Methodist Church in 1985. He and his family spread the gospel in music and preaching for over fifty years in over one hundred churches. He had a passion for music, playing the guitar, mandolin, violin, steel guitar, and dobro. He was presently the pastor of Freedom Worship Chapel of Cambridge. To honor his life and ministry, we will gather on Tuesday (September 22, 2015) at The Freedom Worship Chapel (10 Weedon Avenue, Cambridge) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday (September 23, 2015) at the Oakfield Wesleyan Church (3583 State Route 13 SE, Crooksville) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., with his Reflections and Celebration service at 2 p.m. As his life will continue to touch lives for Christ, he would leave with you today, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 Will you follow him Home?
