Donald J. Headley, 69, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (May 19, 2008) at his home. He was born June 30, 1938 in Zanesville, son of the late John Headley and Marie (Swingle) Bradford. Mr. Headley was a farmer and owner of Headley Pest Control in Cambridge. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of Cambridge VFW Post 2901, Eagles Aerie 386 and Moose Lodge 632. He enjoyed high school sports, fishing, gardening and playing cards. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Longaberger. He leaves two daughters, Pamela (Robert) Williams Sr. of Columbus and Terry (Doug) Wilson of Cambridge; five sisters, Delores (Eugene) Carder of New Concord, Emma (Tom) Barton of Missouri, Edna (Fred) Deeds and Evelyn (Dean) Prince both of Dresden, and Johnna (Earl) Starner of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Stephanie Valentine, Robert Williams Jr., Jeremy Williams, Devin Nicholes and Kodie Nicholas; three great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brittany and Taylor Valentine; step-mother, Catherine Headley of Zanesville; and his former wife, Virginia Dailey of Columbus. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be 11 a.m.Wednesday with Evan. Woody Biggs officiating. Burial will be in East Union Presbyterian Cemetery.
