Donald W. "Donnie" Devereux, 51, of Cumberland, died Friday (April 22, 2011) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born October 15, 1959 in Cuyahoga Falls, son of Mary (Blondheim) Devereux-McCoy and the late Robert Ambrose Devereux. He was a self-employed electrician. Mr. Devereux attended Salt Fork Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Steelers and Buckeyes. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Devereux; and his grandparents, Ron and Margaret Blondheim. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary and James McCoy of Quaker City; six children, two brothers, Kenneth (& Therica) Devereux of Wadsworth and P.J. (& Deb) Devereux of Akron; three sisters, Roberta (& Wayne) Miller of Akron, Mary (& Jim) Kolvalchik of Cumberland, and Mona (& Bob) Schoolcraft of Quaker City; his girlfriend, Sandy Moore; a good friend, Amy Burris; many nieces and nephews; and his favorite dog, Rosie. Family and friends may call on Monday (April 25, 2011) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Floyd Atkinson officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City OK 73123-1718.
