Donald E. Wheatley, 75, of Cambridge passed away Wednesday (July 27, 2016) at SEORMC. He was born February 6, 1941 in Cambridge and was th son of the late John E. and Lucille (McMahon) Wheatley. Mr. Wheatley retired from N.C.R as an assembly line supervisor. He attended Christ United Methodist Church and was a life member of VFW #2901. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a 1959 graduate of Cambridge High School. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Grace Wheatley whom he married June 17, 1967 and passed away January 22, 2015; three brothers, Herschel, Dick and John Wheatley. He is survived by one son Richard Lee (Amy) Wheatley of Fairbanks, Alaska; two daughters, Jody (Dan) Milburn and T'wana Wheatley both of Cambridge; two brothers, Shug (Peg) Wheatley and Bob (Karen) Wheatley both of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Joshua (Angie) Moore of Newark, Taylour (J.T.) Good of W.A.F.B, MO, Hannah (Tony) Moag of Cambridge, Trystie Milburn of Cambridge, Darianne and Adison Snyder of Cambridge; two great grandchildren, Blake Alexander Moore and Lilyan Grace Moore; special niece Chris (Tom) Galbreath and family of Cambridge. Calling hours will be Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastors Dan Milburn and Sturman Moore officiating. Military services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
