Donna Frances Blankenship

Donna Frances Blankenship, 78, of Kimbolton, died Tuesday (January 7, 2020) at Wesley Woods, New Albany.

She was born June 17, 1941 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Lloyd Shade and Frances (Finn) Shade.

Mrs. Blankenship was a former hairdresser and also a home health aide.

She was very family-oriented. She was a 4-H advisor. She loved Elvis, dancing, and taking fishing trips with her husband to Canada and Florida.

Mrs. Blankenship was a former member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Earl M. Blankenship Jr., who died September 8, 2013.

She is survived by two sons, Michael (Beth) Blankenship of Powell and Dale (Donna) Blankenship of Ostrander; two daughters, Karolyn (Michael) Meheran of Gahanna and Marie (Michael) Warfield of Kimbolton; a brother, Tom Shade of Kimbolton; two sisters, Lynn Kugler of New Jersey and Karen (Jim) Hefner of Kimbolton; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday (January 11, 2020) from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association – Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus OH 43215.
