Donna Jean Slasor, 66, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (October 7, 2009) at Winchester Place in Canal Winchester. She was born April 15, 1943 in Cambridge, daughter of Ralph Campbell and the late Helen (Gibson) Campbell. Mrs. Slasor was a former employee of NCR and also of Omegadyne in Sunbury. She loved birds, crocheting and ceramics. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Slasor, who died in 1975. She is survived by her father, Ralph Campbell of Cambridge; a son, Vernon (& Trisha) Slasor II of Columbus; four brothers, Jerry Campbell of Cambridge, Butch (& Sherry) Campbell of Cambridge, Dick Campbell of Cambridge and David (& Patty) Campbell of Columbus; a sister, Ann (& John Blair) Campbell Weidlich of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Renae Preston, Vernon Slasor III and Jon Preston all of Columbus; two great-grandchildren, Autumn and Aiden Goodwin both of Columbus; and two special aunts, Susie Gibson and Edie Simpson both of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Saturday (October 17, 2009) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor James Garrett officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
