Donna R. Smith

Donna R. Smith, 70, of Cambridge, died Monday (December 5, 2016) at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 19, 1946 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Charles Scott and Mae Belle (Wickem) Scott. Mrs. Smith had worked as a caregiver with Fosterbridge Home Health for many years. She loved bird watching. She also loved the joy her dogs gave her. Mrs. Smith was Nazarene by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Williams and Lillie Brister; and a brother, George Brister. She is survived by her husband, Lan Smith, whom she married July 11, 2003; a son, Marvin Adams; three stepsons, Ron "Butch" Smith, Mike (& Paula) Smith, and Randy (& Debbie) Smith; three stepdaughters, Debbie (& Dale) Charleston, Kim (& Rusty) Larrick, and Valerie (& Gordon) Savage Jr.; a sister, Mary Melton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her dog, Emmy. Visitation will be held Thursday (December 8, 2016) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Evang. John Keith officiating. Burial will be at Zanesville Memorial Park, at a later date.
