Dorothy V. Arnold

Dorothy V. Arnold, 80, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Nov. 22, 2012) at Red Carpet Health Care Center in Cambridge. She was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Martins Ferry, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Headley. Mrs. Arnold retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital, where she worked in the kitchen. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene Arnold, who died Dec. 10, 1999. They were married Aug. 14, 1947. Also deceased are three sisters, three brothers, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter. She is survived by two sons, John Arnold of Cambridge and Mike Arnold of Byesville; a daughter, Cathy Bichard of Cambridge; a sister, Geraldine Beaver of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Rob Bichard, Shawn Arnold, Samantha Arnold and Shannon Arnold; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Bichard, Brianna Smallwood and Tyler Burt. Family and friends may call on Monday (November 26, 2012) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
