Dorothy Raye (Jenkins) Waugh

Dorothy Raye Waugh, 82, of Quaker City, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at her home.

Dorothy was born on November 27, 1941, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Ansel and Mabel (Collins) Jenkins.

Dorothy enjoyed bowling and gardening and had a love for animals, especially hummingbirds. She worked in cosmetology and Ohio Bell Daycare.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Virgil Waugh, who passed away on June 13, 2024, her sisters, Doris Jenkins and Nelly Jenkins, and her brothers, Jackie, Donnie, Danny, David, Ronnie, Bobbie Lee, and Therma.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Kevin Waugh of Quaker City, her daughters, Renada Ballengee of Salesville and Teresa Heckard of Toledo, her brother, Jimmy Jenkins of Ironton, her sisters, Cora Jenkins of Ironton and Sheila Jenkins of Ironton, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024. From 1PM-2PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the service to immediately follow with Evan. Mark Beros officiating. Burial will follow at Guernsey County Memory Gardens,
