Dorothy Lucille Whetstone

Dorothy Lucille Whetstone, 82, of Cambridge, died Monday (April 30, 2007) at her home. She was born on July 7, 1924 in Beverly OH, daughter of the late Edgar Reasoner and Leona (Mincks) Reasoner. Mrs. Whetstone worked in the housekeeping and dietary departments of Red Carpet Health Care Center and also New Concord Nursing Center. She was a graduate of Brown High School and completed an airplane engine repair course during World War II. Mrs. Whetstone enjoyed arts & crafts, crocheting and playing Bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Whetstone, who died in 1978; three sons; and a sister. She leaves three sons, Jerry Johnson of Minnesota, Mike (& Susie) Johnson of Shadyside and Gary Johnson of Cambridge; a daughter, Twila Whetstone of Cambridge; a brother, David (& Marian) Reasoner of Caldwell; a sister, Betty Patterson of Tennessee; several grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Nicole Lucille Baker of Cambridge; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins. Private family visitation will be held. Burial will be held at Center Cemetery, Center, at a later date.
