Douglas J. Marianek, 83, of Cambridge, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Altercare of Cambridge

He was born December 13, 1942, in Cleveland, son of the late John Marianek and Mary (Wolnowski) Marianek.

Mr. Marianek earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University. He retired from The M. Conley Company, a distributor of paper products, where he had been the CFO for many years.

He attended Faith United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Marianek.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jane (Burris) Marianek, whom he married December 8, 1991. They have five children between them: Mark (& Carleen) Marianek of Columbus, Christian (& Laura) Marianek of Indiana, Jon Gregory (& Samantha) Lanning of Cambridge, Tom Lanning of Center, and Kimberly Whaley of Cambridge; grandchildren, Chase (& Sarah) Lanning, Jensen Lanning, Maezie Lanning, Kaden (& Brooke Laughman) Whaley, Madison Whaley, Jessica (Mark) Hagar, Alec Marianek, Leanna Marianek, Makenna Marianek, Julie Horton, and Carly Fritz,; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Ellie, Rylin, Barrett, Coast and Apollo. His memory will also be cherished by a very good friend, Bob Huffman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
