Earl Delbert Bean

Earl Delbert Bean, 85, of Cambridge, died Monday (December 25, 2006) at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Cambridge. He was born October 19, 1921 in Freeport, son of the late Carl Austin Bean and Grace (Casterline) Bean. Mr. Bean was a retired farmer. He also had formerly worked at Cambridge Glass. Mr. Bean raised draft horses. He also showed ponies and pulled wagons with his ponies in many local parades. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Moffett) Bean, who died November 2, 2004. They were married on July 3, 1943. Also deceased is a son, Dale Bean; a grandson, Kevin Bean; and a half-sister, Loma King. He leaves a son, Paul (& Sharon) Bean of Senecaville; a foster son, Frank (& Susan) Myers of Lafferty; a brother, Lloyd (& Elaine) Bean of Winterset; a sister, Clara (& John) Law of Winterset; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a niece, Shirley (& Tony) Monaco of Atlanta GA. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and also on Thursday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (December 28, 2006) at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Fairchild officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
