Earl M. Blankenship Jr., 69, of Kimbolton, died Sunday (September 8, 2013) at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, surrounded by his family. He was born December 23, 1943 in Meadow Bridge WV, son of the late Earl Mason Blankenship Sr. and Nettie (Anderson) Blankenship. Mr. Blankenship had worked for Salt Fork Campgrounds as a park maintenance employee. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything in the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Reynolds. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Donna (Shade) Blankenship; two sons, Michael (& Beth) Blankenship of Powell and Dale (& Donna) Blankenship of Ostrander; two daughters, Karolyn (& Michael) Meheran of Gahanna and Marie (& Michael) Warfield of Kimbolton; a brother, Bob Blankenship of Columbus; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and friends too numerous to mention. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (September 11, 2013) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Private funeral services for the family will be held at a later date.
