Edgar J. Raymond

** SERVICE TIME UPDATE:  A graveside service will be held Saturday (November 9, 2019) at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge, with military graveside honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. **

Edgar J. Raymond, 88, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (October 16, 2019) at SEORMC.

He was born December 14, 1930 in Napoleon and was the son of the late Rene H and Thelma T. (Sherwood) Raymond.

Edgar retired from the oil and gas well industry as a broker and had previously been Vice President of Haines and Co. of Canton.  Along with his wife, Honey, they were Pro-Life supporters.

In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his wife, Ada "Honey" (Knowles) Raymond; his brothers, Ted Raymond, Fritz Raymond, Danny Raymond, and Jack Raymond; and his sisters-in-law, Flo Raymond and Betty Raymond.

He is survived by seven children, Ruth (Al) Burgi of Tallmadge, Catherine (Gene) Doll of Newark, Judith Raymond of Pataskala, Edgar (Carol) Raymond II of Cambridge, David Raymond of Cambridge, Jeanne (John) Lorenz of Caldwell, and Thomas Raymond of Cambridge; two sisters, Sister Mary Catherine and Judy McKitrick; a brother, Chuck (Sandy) Raymond; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours or services will be observed.
