Edith "Edie" A. Redd

Edith A. "Edie" Redd, 85, of Old Washington, passed away Sunday (October 8, 2006) at Southeastern OH Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born July 20, 1921 in Barnesville, daughter of the late Charles Gray and Atha Mae (Betts) Gray. Mrs. Redd was a homemaker. She was a 1939 graduate of Old Washington High School. She was a member of Kipling VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Redd was a member of the Old Washington United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Redd, who passed away in 1975 and whom she married in 1951; a brother, Lawrence Gray; two half-brothers; and two brothers-in-law. She leaves a brother, Raymond Gray of Salesville; a sister, Sally (& Neil) Bonar of Byesville; three sisters-in-law, Marjorie Gray of Coshocton, Leota Gray of Old Washington and Esther Gray of Senecaville; several nieces & nephews; and her dog, Tawny. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Thursday (October 12, 2006) at 1 p.m. with Rev. Beth Mansperger officiating. Burial will be at Old Washington Cemetery, Old Washington.
