Edna M. Kahrig-Leisure, 80, of Cambridge, died Saturday (Nov. 2, 2013) at Autumn Health Care Center. She was born May 24, 1933, in Belmont County, daughter of the late Elmer C. and Edna Marie (Haught) Steele. She worked at RCA, NCR, Elder Berman, Walmart and several local restaurants. She was also a caregiver for several people. She is a member of Cambridge First Church of the Nazarene, and Millenium Melodears Senior Chorus. She enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy E. and Ernest Lee; and two special friends, Annie Love and Ron Gant. She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Wiley and A.J. of Byesville, Barbara J. (Dr. Steve) Polsley of Urbana, Brenda J. (Wayne) Reed of Senecaville and Berlene S. (Kevin) Roe of Salesville; a brother, Donald L. (Lillian) Steele of Massillon; a sister, M. Helen (Charles) Paratore of California; a sister-in-law, Marie Steele of Northfield; nine grandchildren, Angela Kay, Aaron, Thomas, Wes, Erika, Jason, Josh, Travis and Nathan (Sherri Scoeber); a stepgranddaughter, Alauna; 14 great-grandchildren, Evan, Logan, Jaxon, Christopher, Gavin, Lexi, Tesla, Felicity, Emileigh, Addison, Aaliyah, Katheryn, Elija and Christian; and special friends, Sandra Roosa and Cynthia Fernau. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday (November 5, 2013) from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City. Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
