June 27, 1917 — February 13, 2016
Edna E. Long, 98, of Batesville, died at her home on Saturday - (February 13, 2016). She was born June 27, 1917 , in Monroe County, daughter of the late Samuel and Maggie (Goodballet) Christman. She was a farmer and Homemaker. She loved to cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Wayne M. Long in 1983: two sons, Cecil and Scotty Long; five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a son, Omer (Lucy) Long of Sarahsville; a daughter Shelva Jean (James) Emery of Batesville; ten grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday February 17,2016 at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City from Noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Carol Touvell officiating. Burial will follow at Batesville Cemetery.
