Edna E. Smith, 103, of Cambridge, died Saturday (December 30, 2006) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born February 16, 1903 in Byesville, daughter of the late William Foraker and Nancy (Walter) Foraker. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Christian Church of Cambridge, where she served as pianist and organist for over thirty years. She was a member of the Cambridge Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 211. She was active in the Cambridge Genealogy Society and was the pianist for a local men's choral group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Smith. She leaves a son, Louis (& Aloha M.) Smith Jr. of Wadsworth; two grandchildren, Jeffrey A. (& Loretta) Smith of Bowling Green and David L. (& Cassie) Smith of Phoenix AZ; and three great-grandchildren, Emily Smith of Phoenix AZ, Jacob Smith of Phoenix AZ and Sabrina Smith of Bowling Green. Family and friends may call on Thursday (January 4, 2007) from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
