Effie Eliopulos, 69, of Old Washington, Ohio passed away comfortably on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Konstantinos "Gus" and Ella Eliopulos of Byesville. Effie retired in 2001. She was an entrepreneur and owner of several local businesses: Rent-A-Vision (Cambridge), Shenandoah Inn (Old Washington), and the City Restaurant (Byesville). In 1990, she was awarded Business Woman of the Year. Effie loved music and the theater and will be remembered for reviving the community theater in Cambridge. Effie lived her life to the fullest, bringing love, generosity, courage, strength, and humor to everyone. She is survived by her wonderful life partner of 29 years, Lynne Maynard of Old Washington. She is survived by her sister, Maritza D'Amico and husband, Al of Matthews, NC and their children, Tina Price, Angela Borek, and Christopher D'Amico. She is also survived by her brothers: Charles and wife, Beverly of Henderson, NV, James and wife, Georgiann of Ostrander, Ohio, and Steve, and wife, Katie of Washington, WV. She was the beloved aunt of 10 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews. No funeral or memorial service will be held. A private celebration of her life will be held in the spring with the immediate family.
