Eleanor Jean Bock, 93, of Cambridge, died Friday (June 17, 2011) at the Cardinal House, Cambridge. She was born September 14, 1917 in Marietta, daughter of the late Clarence Kehl and Olive Haskins. Mrs. Bock was a retired registered nurse, having worked at the former Cambridge State Hospital and Guernsey Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a 1939 graduate of Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati. Mrs. Bock was a US Army veteran, having served as a nurse during World War II. She was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. She was a member of the Cambridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bock, who died March 11, 1974; her step-mother, Nelva (Souders) Kehl; and a sister, Evelyn Tomassetti. She is survived by three sons, Robert Bock Jr. of Cambridge, Jeff (& Karen) Bock of Walker LA, and Stephen (& Margaret) Bock of Jackson WY; a sister, Helen Harris of Inverness FL; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held Tuesday (June 21, 2011) at 11 a.m. at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with Rev. Craig Murray officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
