Eleanor Marie Jamiel Casey

Eleanor Marie Jamiel Casey, 82, of Cambridge, died Monday (May 23, 2011) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 27, 1928 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Joseph Maldotti and Antoinette (Geraldini) Maldotti. Mrs. Casey worked for seventeen years at Westinghouse/Hamilton Beach. She also worked at Ceramic Tile of Cambridge. She was a life member of St. Benedict Catholic Church/Christ Our Light Parish. Mrs. Casey was a graduate of Brown High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Jamiel, who died November 18, 1967; and her second husband, Robert Junior Casey, who died November 22, 2007. She is survived by two daughters, Anita (& Greg) Jamiel Young of Cincinnati and Loretta (& Richard) Jamiel Balik of Cambridge; a sister, Sylvia (& Albert) Campbell of Byesville; two grandchildren, David (& Christy) Balik of Columbus and Anita (& David) Hunt of Orlando FL; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday (May 27, 2011) at 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge.
