Eleanora R. Walker, 86, of Cambridge, died Thursday (May 13, 2010) at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 9, 1924 in Lore City, daughter of the late Andrew Golmitz and Anna (Patrick) Golmitz. Ms. Walker was employed for fifteen years with the former Cambridge State Hospital, where she had worked in the kitchen department. She enjoyed gardening and also watching soap operas. She was Byzantine Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William A. Walker; two daughters, Star Schwab and Audrey Walker; a brother, Andy Golmitz; a sister, Madeline Mielnik; and a grandson, Charles Denver. She is survived by a son, Patrick (& Cheryl) Golmitz of Senecaville; a daughter, Patricia A. "Patti" (& Ralph) Brown Jr. of Byesville; a brother, Paul (& Lettie) Golmitz of Lore City; five grandchildren, Todd Golmitz, Chad Golmitz, Wendy Brown, Derek Brown and Dustin Schwab; and three great-grandchildren, Jarrod Brown, Isaac Tracey and Brody Brown. Family and friend may call on Monday (May 17, 2010) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
