Eleanore M. Moyer

Eleanore M. Moyer, 83, of Cambridge, died Thursday (July 7, 2011) at her home. She was born March 20, 1928 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Edith L. (Baldwin) Moore and Arthur Lee Moore, who raised Eleanore in Grafton WV. Mrs. Moyer retired from Marks Transfer & Storage where she had worked as a bookkeeper. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy and also the Good Shepherd Foursquare Gospel Church. Mrs. Moyer was a member of the DAV Chapter 28 and also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2901. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Moyer, who died September 24, 2009. They were married March 6, 1946. Also deceased is a brother, Robert Penny. She is survived by a daughter, Marcia Marlene (& Donald) Poole of Killeen TX; a brother, Ralph Denver Watkins of Cambridge; a sister, Evelyn Marie Moore-Lake of Grafton WV; three grandchildren, Angela Gaye Donley of Cambridge, Veronica Rae Welker of Zanesville, and Donald William Poole of Killeen TX; two great-grandchildren, Sherae Tate of Hampton VA and D.J. Welker of Zanesville; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jayda and Jeniha Harris; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday (July 11, 2011) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
